Sometimes Sorrow is a Snail

sometimes sorrow is a snail

soft inside the spiral of shell

it hides behind parchment barrier

coiled sensitive tentacles:

two for feeling

two for stalks of eyes

considered as a pest

it is given a bad name

but it takes the soul into the healing

state of suspended animation

stars turn to tearfilled sight

when sun finds tender traces

silver paths and love darts in the heart

sorrow shrivels

in the throb of time's departure.

Check her out.
